Rowan is doing great. The first few days at home were tough because he still wasn't walking well and needed us to get from one place to another. This week is better. Daddy has been home with Rowan all week as I finish out the school year. To give you an idea of the difference: when I was home last week we went to the library. Rowan had to ride in the stroller because he couldn't balance, and just being out of the house for a little while gave him a headache and we needed to go home for a nap. He also got sick that night.
This week, Jeff has been gradually taking him on longer outings. Rowan can now walk again which helps, but still uses the stroller for a long distance. The rules are that Rowan needs to be supervised not to Slide, Swing, or Run... so it has been Daddy's job to keep him occupied, while building up his level of activity, but not taking him to parks, playgrounds, pools (he can't submerge yet). A logical place to go? Oak Grove Elementary to bring Mommy lunch of course. They also went to the zoo for a couple hours and had a game of mini golf. Still needs to be watched closely by Mommy or Daddy though!
Rowan is talking up a storm. My favorite lately in response to my new haircut "What's your hair doing?" I took it as a compliment.
Rowan will stay home with me for one more week next week, and then we
will see about starting back at Linda's. He has a doctor appointment
Friday, so hopefully he'll get a good report!
