I've been getting some messages and emails asking about how Rowan is doing, so a quick update...
We got home Saturday evening. There were 7 other kids getting out of the unit at the same time so it took awhile. It was so good to get home.

Rowan has been doing a good job staying fairly still. He spends most of his time on the couch. He has close control of the DVR and DVD's right now, so it keeps him happy. Also is busy with all the stickers, crayons, and other quiet activities people have been providing (THANK YOU). He gets up to go potty, get cheese sticks, get his balloon....but we tell him only to walk if we are there. He has his little walker here but prefers to just walk with one of us right there or holding his hand. He is gradually getting more steady. We need to get some PT appointments set up for the next couple weeks.

Today is my last day off with Rowan. I am heading back to work tomorrow to finish up the school year. Strange feeling knowing I'm not teaching first grade next year after 12 years, but looking forward to a change. (I'll be Title One Reading Teacher).

Starting tomorrow Daddy will be home with Rowan for a week and a half.

Ian enjoyed bugling Taps for Memorial Day. He is doing pretty well to be patient with his little brother as he heals up.
