We were very happy to learn from Rowan's CTscan today that the bones in his skull have not yet closed together. There is a small ridge on the back of his head, and it was thought that it could possibly be to the skull closing too soon, but that is NOT the case. We are so happy. Rowan did great during the scan. They had screens on the ceiling for him to watch, we could choose puppies, fish, hot air balloons, space shuttle...Daddy said Rowan would like fish because his room is "under the sea" theme. (I'm sure it had nothing to do with Daddy's love of the ocean). They put Rowan on a machine that looked very similar to this one (we wish we would have taken a picture of him, but this machine is pretty close:)
They had a little baby attachment thing that he layed on, they covered him all up with blankets and strapped him in. He didn't cry at all and it was done in no time.
Right after, we went upstairs to immediately meet with the doctor, who checked the scan and his head and said it all looked well. We will continue physical therapy on his neck through December.
As for a helmet, we talked with the Dr and decided we will not put him in one. His flat spot is very subtle, and we don't feel his head is mishapen enough to put him in one.
So, we just continue with therapy, nothing more! Yay!

YEAH ROWAN!
Good to know that everything is okay!! It's also good that they didn't have to strap him down while he was screaming or sedate him for the CT scan. I guess those doctors really know what they're doing after all! :)
Good news!
